A+ Certification Course
This
course introduces the hardware and operating system concepts of a
personal computer and the broad range of hardware and software
technologies. Provides preparation for students seeking A+
Certification sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry
Association and certifies the competency of entry-level service
technicians in the computer industry.
This course offers a unique approach to computer information technologies. Rather
than teach a specific application or language, we will learn how to
purchase, install and maintain computers in our homes and offices. Within the lab sections, you will have the opportunity to use several different hardware components to install and configure. This course offers a limited amount of hands on training that will prepare you to teach this course. CompTIA has created the A+ Certification which is a vendor neutral certification that validates the basic PC technology skills. This certification is used by potential employers to see if an applicant is qualified to be a PC Technologist. This
course will cover the A+ certification material as well as “lots of
stuff” I've found you need to know, but isn’t on a test.
